saw the crowds on tv what a wonder it turn out to be
so many colours blowing the wind
red white and blue and voices did sing
cheering crowds and smiling faces
wearing hats and waving flags
there were all cheering for that girl
who 70 years ago she still wears the same pearls
she said it then and she it now
how ever long or short my life i do vow
to serve this county the best I can
we want to say thank you mam
come on Paddington take my hand
look what i got in my handbag
a marmalade sandwich
for our tea
let's go have a cup of tea
and tap out that song you and me
Elizabeth thank you very much
at 96 you amazing to me
and to see you up on my tv screen
with your family
what a wonderful few days it has been
street parties up and down the land
bunting everywhere red and blue
it cheers us all up
and at the end of the day
everyone was tried as they went away
those that camp out on the street
i am sure they would say they got sore feet
but it was worth it just to be there
there is so much more that I could say
but one word would sum it up i say
from all of us to you Elizabeth
thank you for all the years
queen Elizabeth
