outsider's take on big city madness, 

sitting there with time to kill,

it's a solipsistic mindspill

as seen through shotglass eyes

something he doesn't disguise.

With black hat that he never removes, 

lived-in leather coat, and fingerless gloves,

he candidly tells of his affliction, 

his shyness, angst, and alchoholism, 

His story told in noir- voiceover, 

tinged with apologetic Aberdonian.
