far dust

far dust
we each leave far dust,
star dust, on each other,
human bumps and scrapes
and knocks,
like asteroids at bounce
our dust of origins –
discreet beauty and magic hidden
in tales of fingertips,
embargoed until we bloom
and learn
there is no separation
our dust absorbs the imprint
of touch and tell, recollection
through sleep and night,
with or without
the moon’s lamp-light
we are, each of us
at-shimmer,
gleaming at our own pace,
the pause and fear and gaps – false prophets,
unable to silence the shine,
of far dust, star dust

I was enchanted by your poem.
I was enchanted by your poem. These lines I so enjoyed reading:-
our dust of origins -
discreet beauty and magic hidden
in tales of fingertips,
embargoed until we bloom
and learn
there is no separation
our dust absorbs the imprint
of touch and tell, recollection
through sleep and night,
with or without
the moon's lamp-light
Such an amazing use of metaphor that gave me a smile.
I did enjoy the poem as a whole too.
Thank you for sharing.
Jenny.

Star Dust made real
We say star dust as our ultimate origin and destination, and I feel that you've captured this perfectly here.
