He's a jazz poet and a blues poet
He's a nothing to lose poet
He sits there smoking, sometimes drunk
Listening to Miles, Mingus and Monk
Scrawling his poems on crinkled pages
He's been a poet for ages and ages
He hasn't a laptop, phone or typewriter,
so scrawls his verse with a yellow highlighter
He's in publications that are so hard to find
Seek them out, they might blow your mind!

This is such a cool poem that blew my mind in that 1950s American Jazzy kind of way.

That's cool
Reads as if it was written by a guy in a black beret with a goatee beard.
