Much said here, Ae...between the lines, and in the lines themselves, of course.
'Kind and quirky'...effective aliteration...also 'pleaching and pruning'...'pleaching' or indeed 'plashing', not a word one often hears these days.
Your descriptions intrigue me, as does the way you weave your poetry from seemingly simple beginnings to form a complex tapestry.

I expect that a lot of what
I hadn't thought about the likness to ourselves that helps the concern and understanding that we have with our children.
I expect that a lot of what you have taught has been to guide her to think about what others say and not let herself be just pushed into their opinions. And you still have that sort of input in out of school hours, to build on what you've given her. And to encourage to remember God's Words too. Rhiannon

I have two kids
My wife and I have two grown children,but I well remember their birth, your poem beautifully exemplifies how I felt when I first them, such love and hope, their newness and purity nearly overwhelming. Love your red passion of a lioness line, in fact all your wording is compelling and picturesque lovely powerful poem.
