I find myself 
                    Talking to myself 
As I do a friend, 
To believe in myself 
                    To be all of me,
To embrace the darker side of me

To find the light in the shadows of me

and exist where they meet

in dendritic spaces where

the brilliance of insanity 
                      falls in love with

the darkness in the matter of reality

and they kiss

and I write

and I create

and I become

the most perfectly flawed version of me

unashamed, for the world to see

I started off pretty apprehensive with this, but by the time I got to the end it had me quite excited. A 'perfectly flawed version of me'. A contemporary version of the opening of 'Song of Myself'. Loved it.

Not easy to write something like this without sounding self-obsessed but you manage it by saying things that a lot of people feel in a wonderfully eloquent way.
