Superman

I promised her
I'd always protect her,
her man of steel,
and with my cape
I'd fly to the rescue
and hold her safe
in my arms,
stop the bad guy
with my strength,
promised I'd be her rock
so she could throw
any troubles my way
and it wouldn't phase me,
I promised I'd never her hurt,
and everytime I do
I take it to heart
because it means
I've failed her.

But I've got to realise
I can't always be her Superman
