Blue Night

The night so cold, so calm
Quiet and lonely
The evening is gone and daylight is no more
In my eyes the sadness and sorrow of a lost soul
Wondering where it belongs
Lonely as the night I've become
There's no place to hide, nowhere to turn to
This moon has turned blue as my mood
Singing songs until dawn about the love that is nowhere to be found
My love, the one that holds me in his arms when the nights are so cold
and gives me strength for the days to come
Whispering those sweet words I long to hear
This one is for you my love, wherever you'll be
Cheers!

What a lovely poem. Some beautiful images and a real feeling of wonder and longing. A pleasure to read.

Exercised in the still night
When only the moon rages

I appreciate your poem but staying awake not a good thing. One should sleep at night and be awake in daytime. I've managed to get it right for a very long time now and have regular sleeping patterns.
One always thinks of "Mr. Tambourine man" too. I'm grateful I kicked the habit one works quite as well in the daytime probably better.
This is excellent work it made me think.

Early to bed early to rise
Early to bed early to rise ... Very wise words indeed. In Proverbs we are told that if you sleep late in the mornings you will be poor and as a promise. Myself is a shining example.

A ghostly loneliness
You must have updated or something for this to end up on top again. Very appropriate, close to home but night is for romance and courting too.
See you then! Tom
