Beyond the ties that bind

Let's venture beyond the ties
That bind us
To a land of unadulterated independence.
Let's step over the bonds
That restrain us
To city that lives apart.
Here, the web of convolution
Has been cast out of mind
This is a metropolis of free thought-
Where poetry writes itself,
In the skies.
Chords and cadences. Melodies
Harmonise with discord and weave themselves in the grass - it is greener in this place.
Art skips over exposed stone pavements
And denizens of platitude
Let their eyes spring over the
Flowing lines and entrancing colours
Love here is not fleeting,
It is the only gossamer thread
Woven in this pure hearted land
And with clear truth it
Resonates like a wedding bell.
The lithe sylvan folk sing their psyches to the incandescent stars,
Into a world of granite elastic beauty.
Elastic love
And granite truth
Eternal.
