It’s Winter
the morning's misty;
it’s early
the air is chill.
It’s Sunday
the world is sighing
for peace;
let the earth be still.
Regardless
the guns start barking;
suicide bombers
prepare to die.
Innocence
always the victim;
humanity passing by.

The irony of the stanzas captured me.
There is peace, while humanity passed by.
There is peace, but there are guns and suicide bombers....They're my favorite parts of the poem.
Oh and MistakenMagic is definitely right,
the last stanza is haunting.
It has a huge truth in it!
