R is out

R is out tonight. He's gone to - would you believe it - a place
called Top Golf in Watford. That's where his team wanted to go for
their xmas do. I know it's not xmas yet, but apparently that was the
only time they could get together. R has a total of four work xmas do's
- unbelievable. All they do is celebrate Christmas, or maybe it's more
a case of celebrating a couple of days off and the end of the
year.
Went to le shop today. Nothing particularly interesting or exciting
happened today, except H bought us all Thorntons' choccie biccies,
which was unusual. Only actually have 3 and a half more days scheduled
at the shop, but she may use me to cover hols in the new year
too.
Start PMH job on Monday. Feeling a bit nervous about that one.
Start EBC job on Wednesday. Also feeling a bit apprehensive, but quite
looking forward to that one.
May start looking for other jobs again too as I don't have many hours
promised.
The LSJ writing course has come to a bit of a standstill as my tutor is
on hols, and there is no record of the last assignment they think he's
marked but hasn't reached me. All a bit boring and frustrating. Having
an on-line tutorial again on Sunday evening.
Xmas shopping is coming along nicely. Just have R, J, S and half of M's
to get. D's shirt arrived today which is nice, hope he likes it. R is
the most difficult one I think. What do you get the man who has
everything? I have done a lot of my shopping in le shop which is good
as it is a charity. Tomorrow we are going to do a big shop in Tesco's.
We live about two minutes from Tesco's which is handy.
The Swansea do last night was enjoyable. It was good to see S and we
also met up with S and J who we hadn't seen for ten years. I graduated
ten years ago. That makes me feel old. There was a free bar and we left
at 8.45pm. That also made me feel old and boring.
We'll probably go out for an Indian tomorrow night, but other than that
a quietish weekend I think. As long as it's me and R, that's all I
want.
