The companionship of my tea-cup
It’s social embrace
The sadness of its bitter cold dregs
Discarded with yesterdays despair
The warmth forgotten long ago
It’s comfort now just a memory
Once it held my secrets
Listened to downtrodden ramblings
Shared with me my hopes and dreams
Warmed frostbitten fingertips
On frigid winter days
And now she lays dismembered
Shattered on the floor
Like busted dreams and scattered hopes
My secrets she hears no more

A nice little poem but one
A nice little poem but one thing I must point out:
it's is short for it is
its is the correct form here.
Sorry to be pedantic but these things are important!
