Thoughts of us

What I can remember now,
seems an emotional blur.
I thought we were so old,
seems so immature.
Thought we were in love,
looks like two best friends.
Thought I was fulfilled,
looks like I clung on.
Thought we were happy,
never believed in any better.

Remember those endless, insignificant fights?

Thought we were so romantic,
a year on and we look like kids.

Playing make believe in a restaurant.

Thought we were on a high,
it was just one side of a hill on the mountain.

Through the rosy haze,
i thought i was in love. Believed it. Loved it.
