In a Valley of No Light or Darkness - Prologue - The Creation

In a valley of no light or darkness, that neither exists nor doesn’t exist, walk two figures. They have no height or breadth, no presence but they are there, with no bodies that can be seen with mortal eyes. They can speak but have no mouths. They can hear but have no ears; they can see but have no eyes. They are spirits of the purest kind; they need not any of the physical attributes that any of the other lesser spirits need because these two figures have been around since before time, before there was any existence. The only thing that can be said about them is that they are brothers on opposite sides of the spectrum.
“You know,” said Keflis, “since you destroyed all of the wonderful creations I made, why don’t you make something that will come to a greater height then any of mine did?”
“Your ‘special beings’ did nothing but destroy each other,” argued Bynamora. “If I hadn’t done it myself, they would have only done it soon after themselves. They were ruthless, unkempt and didn’t think about anyone apart from themselves.”
“No! They were not all like that. Some of them strove to keep the others from hurting each other, you can’t argue with that.”
“I can, the ones that were trying to stop the others only did it so they could have some peace, not for everyone to stop the constant conflict. Those people did this by creating more conflict for everyone. Face it, every creation you made that were living was selfish; the highest ranked creation being the worst. They drove the lesser ones to extinction when they are the ones that need the lessers the most.”
Keflis stopped and took a long slow breath. He had never thought of saying this as he was always the creator and Bynamora was always the destroyer, if anything went majorly wrong, but this seemed like the best time and place for it.
“Why don’t you start a world of beings like mine, if you think that you are so smart? Then you will see what genius it takes to create such a world that thinks for itself.”
“If that’s a challenge, I accept. I will not create my main races to be God fearing, they will decide for themselves what and who they want to be. They will welcome all other beings to their tables. There will be conflict, but every race needs obstacles to overcome. They will learn from their past mistakes and strive to better themselves...”
Bynamora finished describing what he planned for his world, the new world to end the need for any more destruction of worlds and creation of new ones. Creating and destroying worlds was a tiring thing as it took a lot of energy, but it had been a while since anything had been made by Keflis because the last world had been the best one so far for him. Until now, Bynamora had never created a world but as the destroyer, he knew how to shape and twist a world to the way he desires.
Bynamora sat cross-legged with his arms out and his palms facing downwards. A light shone from the palms emanating outwards, spreading to the farthest reaches of sight and beyond. Beneath the two figures; planes of grass and trees, streams and rivers with waterfalls. Islands with shores of sand, pebbles and cliffs and seas of such rich blue that they made the sky (that appeared above them) look grey; grew and grew. The sun, that was in the sky, set and stars of vast constellations of great myths and legends shone with no less of a twinkle that couldn’t be heard by mortal ears. Finally, the moon, which was last as it is the most important thing that was not living, silver as the collective reflection of all the stars and the sun shone. The scene was idyllic, save for the lack of presence of moving life that actively seeks out lesser beings for substance and to continue living.
Far away, mountains of such great height that the snow encased their tops reflected the Moon’s light and made the grasses and trees look green at this, the dead of night. Keflis had never seen anything so wonderful and for that he hated Bynamora more than anything.
This new world is not yet complete, there is no intelligent life. Bynamora gathered up 13 piles of; dirt, shards of wood, and pebbles. Each of these he sculptured into human form. Out of the dirt came Schomin, out of the wood came Awuenia and out of the pebbles came Gaemlomony. These beings are the controllers of the Earth elements, Schomin can move earth, dirt, soil, Awuenia can move and control plants and Gaemlomony can move pebbles, rocks, boulders and, if all of them helped, mountains.
Bynamora then collected 13 packets of air and shaped them into the same forms as the Earth controllers. 3 of them were winged while the rest of them were not. The winged creatures of the Air Bynamora called Naermlwenceri, these control the winds and clouds and therefore more powerful than the others. The other creatures were made into different versions of each other, these creatures can walk on the air choosing where they want to step. 5 of these were made to look like the werewolves, as us humans know, only more fierce, faster and smarter than anything. The Thryflamane, as they are called, are not enemies unless insulted. The last 5 of the 13 are smaller than the Thryflamane but have no control over their anger, their anger for others not being similar to them, and so are called Thryflamono. The Thryflamane are the guardians of the Thryflamono to stop them from either killing or being killed.
Bynamora had not made these intelligent life forms able to move or think for themselves as of yet, as this work was not yet finished.
He started a fire and modelled 13 forms, as he had done for the other elements. 7 of these were winged, like the Naermlwenceri, but not human in the slightest. These were animals of the highest order, Refrronami, winged centaurs of fire. Strong, loyal and just these beings are; never faulting for or against anything. The last 6 of these fires, Bynamora shaped into beings of such proportions that you would not realise from a distance are the largest things in existence, not including the mountainous mountains. These beings are called Dramonisgar. Not dragons as such, but they are of a pure fire that never ends.
Going to the river directly in the middle of the valley, Bynamora gathers up and shapes out yet more life forms from the water. 7 he made into half human and half octopi; fast, stealthy and Kings and Queens of the waters. Aquinmennoc, as they are called, have absolute control over the waves and steams. The rest of the 13 pools of water, Bynamora dropped a few pieces of grass into and shaped into great mountain cats, fangs protruding out of their mouths farther than sabre toothed tigers we had before. These predators are completely independent from anything that the Aquinmennoc command, as they are the Banjonminnec, ice and snow cats of the mountains.
All of the elements have been used to create the races that will freely roam the wilderness of the lands beyond The Valley of Eternal Light. Bynamora is not yet pleased with his world as there are no races of the combined elements or with the Moon. He realises that there are more than 4 elements and the last one was Spirit, the combination of all physical elements and the Moon. Bynamora then gathered up 13 piles of the Earth elements, the Air, the Water, small parts of the Moon, he then set them alight causing them to combine with flashes of a light that he had never seen the likes of before, light of such beauty and power. The elements combined to create a substance that was easy to model. Bynamora separated the piles into three sets, the first set he shaped into the same shape of the Awuenia, but more perfect in slenderness. These he called Elivsnae, users of the elements and Spirit. The next set Bynamora shaped into small versions of Elivsnae, only a few inches tall. He gave them wings so they could move about at the same speed as the larger beings and so called them Farelasions, the mischief bringers. Lastly, Bynamora created the final race. They are a mysterious race, always in isolation until just before death they go to the mating ground where their final treks end. They are the longest living race on this world, almost, but not going past, rivalry to the world itself. They are the Athair-Na-Rèir, literally “Father of Time”. This race watches over all other races and helps them better themselves and stops them from dying out.
All this time, Keflis had been watching Bynamora create more powerful and more beautiful beings than he had ever created in all of the history between them. Jealousy mounted up him and flowed through him like no other emotion had ever done, and Bynamora and he are not supposed to have emotions apart from contentment, but things had changed since then. Bynamora was creating and Keflis had to take the back seat, he hated this. Bynamora was making more of a perfect world where the races needed each other in order to survive through the passage of time that it almost did not seem possible. Keflis wanted something to do in this world, but he knew that he only bring down the level of perfection. That was what he thinking of doing because of the jealousy, nothing else would satisfy him.
Keflis went to the other side of the mountains that contain the Valley of Eternal Light, to another valley where he let his most powerful emotion take over – Anger – nothing could hold him back now. Keflis gathered the same amount of piles of the different elements as Bynamora had done and shaped them into exactly the same as his brother had. Fuelled by anger Keflis gave these new beings stronger powers than Bynamora’s beings, making them hate the original ones.
Bynamora then sent his new life forms and spread them around the world, knowing that he had sent Keflis’ imitations along with them. This will not hamper any of his own as Bynamora had placed a protection over them as long as they do not harm any of Keflis’ creations.
To the North, South, East and West the beings of Corronimara, The World of The Beings from the Elements spread. They spread out as if it depended on their lives, going from here to there quicker than anything. When everything had settled down, Bynamora released all of the new creatures from the confines of his spell that left them no more than animals that crawl along the ground and more obedient than your family pet. Their lives started then and so did the existence of time.
The Schomin and Gaemlomony started building great cities out of mountains and hills, some going deep into the ground, carving out the rock and earth with the control they have. Some started boring into cliff sides creating huge caves which echoed every sound that entered. Awuenia went into the trees shaping them into massively tall towers and, using the branches, made pathways in between the trees. With the shrubbery Awuenia made small rooms where private studies could take place. Around each city of trees that Awuenia made, they put barriers of the thickest oak branches to protect them from anything that might happen as the Elivsnae followed them and helped them move and shape the trees.
The Thryflamane and the Thryflamono raced over the grassy planes and onto the hills and jumped into the skies. They soared over the clouds and up to the highest points of the tallest mountains, the only mountains that they couldn’t go up to were the mountains containing the Valley of Eternal Light. They made their homes out of the clouds at the top of the skies. Mightily, the Naermlwenceri strode into the sky and carved the snow and hail clouds into floating fortresses that could be guarded by forever if need be.
Down into the fires of the deepest volcanoes went the Refrronami and the Dramonisgar. Immense heat rose up into their nostrils and they revelled in it. Super heated rocks and boulders were shaped to make corridors and rooms of seemingly never ending height and length. Plasma filled the air, lava made streams and rivers atop of the pressurised rock that seemed to stay in shape and not going over the same height of the lava. Only the Refrronami and the Dramonisgar are able to live in these harmful conditions, making them more and more powerful against the other beings as they gather their strength from thermals.
The Elivsnae, Farelasions and the Athair-Na-Rèir could easily live with any of the other races as they have the same elements as the others. The Elivsnae joined the Awuenia in the trees and bushes helping them develop cities, towns and defences, should the need arise. The Farelasions flew around the world looking for something to do; they later found a folly of hunting animals and decided to follow them to try to discourage anyone trying to hunt the animals. The Athair-Na-Rèir never thought of joining anyone or anything, only travelling the world to get away from other living beings unless in need of substantial food. The Athair-Na-Rèir split up and went in different directions, towards, but never going directly to, the other elements they went.
Once Bynamora knew that all of the new creations were out in the new world, he closed off the Valley Of Eternal Light to all of them.
“They are now only permitted to enter when they die. Here they will live on, forever, as they had outside of this valley. This is the Lore.” Bynamora was wondering if his creations could ever keep to the way he designed them. The Awuenia and Elivsnae had already made preparations for any combat. The Schomin and Gaemlomony have everything they will need if they ever get attacked. The other races each have all that they need, apart from the Athair-Na-Rèir who can use their understanding of anything to stop all in their tracks.
Bynamora split himself up so he could go to each place where his and only his creations were. There Bynamora called the first of the ones he made to him; there he named them as the first Thirteen: Hammregeart of the Athair-Na-Rèir, Daeby of the Elivsnae, Deramey of the Farelasions, Matserind of the Schomin, Motebauty of the Awuenia, Angeicvapre of the Gaemlomony, Gaethe of the Naermlwenceri, Taekeari of the Thryflamono, Tuekriam of the Thryflamane, Warethrior of the Refrronami, Wocni of the Dramonisgar, Ladrymarseh of the Aquinmennoc, Lemmsykle of the Banjonminnec.
Decades passed, centuries and millennia, and still none of the violence that Keflis wanted for his creations to bring forth against the ones favoured by Bynamora. When creatures died, their spirits were given bodies and they lived in the Valley Of Eternal Light. The original Thirteen died, even Hammregeart.
Before Hammregeart’s death he studied Astrionem, the leaving of one’s body to travel the world and gain knowledge. This he did for too long and did not take any regard for his intake of nutrition; he got weaker and weaker, travelling farther and farther from his body going into the sky. He saw futures, not pasts, and all the more still travelling into the future. There he saw the next thirteen travelling towards each other coming from all directions, each carrying the arts and crafts of each race. At the joining of the new thirteen there was much celebration and information passing between the people. Then the new Hammregeart said something and all the others stopped sat down in a circle, their spirits rose and joined in unison creating a singularity getting brighter and larger the longer it stayed. Thirteen of the creations Keflis made were on the other side of Corronimara doing exactly the same thing. The spirit beings rose from where they were and walked towards each other......
This was as far as Hammregeart had gotten into the future, before he died. No one else knowing what he had discovered, so he painted it into the night sky. ‘Hopefully someone will think to look up and see this, the future for every living thing on this the precious Corronimara’ thought Hammregeart.
