Why?

Sometimes life makes me so sad.
When nobody listens it makes me want to cry.
Sometimes life makes me so mad.
When all I want to do is ask the Lord why.

I've done all I can
But you won't hear me.
I've tried to be the better man
But you refuse to see.

I'm not trying to hurt you
You're caught up in a lie.
There's not much else I can do
Except lie here and sadly die.

I just want to keep you safe.
I want to take you to a better place.
