Ominousity
By Bee
- 2177 reads
The weight of thirst and dearth
heels into life's sternum
whilst flickering, the guilt sky curdles wrath
to plunder innocence from ignorance,
chastising dreamers for confidence
in youthful dominance
and delusions of immortality.
Anger bellows hollow with a voice like war
as ominousity evaporates
replaced by torrents of sorrow arrows
collected with regret at having never listened
to a sneaking premonition of eventuality.

Gosh Bee! This was certainly a different kind of poem from you. Very poingnant and the anticipation of final destruction in such a poetic way comes across so well.
Very good work.

Hello Bee,
Hello Bee,
Yes, this is a bit of a departure in style but not in subject matter as it has a relevance to what is going on in the world at the moment. As I've said before your poems are topical more often than not. Not sure I know the meanings of some of the words so will have to look up the ones I don't know.
Still enjoyed though
