The rug needed to be dragged outside
hung over a bench and
thrashed
it confined in its patterns
life
grown dusty,
fixed,
helpless
I am on cooking strike
a sabbatical
we will eat delivered diet meals
for a month
I have cut my Aga chains
for a while
Each room and cupboard will be
stripped
cleaned
and sorted
bags will go to charity
full of books
and too small clothes
But it is so slow
two days and only one room done
and that not yet cleaned
But I will succeed in creating order
re arranging the domestic planets
beating out some free time
with the dust
