When I Am Old

When I am old I can work with trains
wear an orange jacket
and whistle in the rain
Are the doors all shut
on the Ramsgate train?

I could work at Tesco sitting at a till
early in the morning
a whole day to fill
"What is the price
of this loaf of Kingsmill?"

On the whole I'd rather have a pension
and seriously munch
chatter cleverly to friends
while idleing at lunch
but I had children
so I don't have a bunch
