All We Need

What if we could sail the Star Road,
plunder darkness,
cruise through galaxies,
as bright as coral reefs,
and with our gold and silver tickets
find those planets
ready to be picked?
What if we can’t,
but this
and now
and this small hand,
reaching across the man-made,
bitter, lines of countries
all we need?

nicely concise. Lovely to imagine, as a child, the beauties to be viewed and marvelled at in a spaceship. But returning emphasises the wonder of the provivions 'just right' on our earth, despite the present problems of disease and weeds – and the problems of imperfections of its occupants, self included!
