THE LANDING BUSH True

I went to the local shop
walked slowly back
looked up at the sky
turning black

A huge Seagull
with it's wings
opened wide

Zoomed down on to
the Geranium bush
only 3ft in height

There was nothing
for him to hold onto
that was solid in anyway

So the Seagull
again opened it's
huge white wings
spanned across the bush
and a big yellow beak
looking for something to eat

Then it took off
at great speed
so low it was nearly at my feet

I let out one
almighty scream!

Wandered indoors
and thought
not me again
why?
be so unkind

I had no shiny tee shirt
on that glittered in the sun
there was nothing in my hands
not even any crumbs

I don't think it
could be the one
that whacked
his wings around my head
way back 2008

screeching
at me circling about
I didn't know they
were nesting up above

as the Seagull
was dive bombing me

I didn't even have
a mobile
so I ran to where
some people stood

Blasted! thing flew fast
just like
an aeroplane would
no babies on the ground

new Luly Whisper Yes,it was in 2008 had a re-hearing test whopped me round head low. And daily paper photographer came out took me in our garden I had to look sad,certainly did, Now someone in town local happened to them really hurt,babies about. But the hedge was few days ago. So re-sent to paper,and poem The Landing Bush.Never printed one on Seagull in 2008.Just a photo. Tea time,I am here on computer in window,huge Seagull sitting on our low wall.I grab camera inside,he moves onto car,sitting on top high,I got camera and pulled curtain out,shot the camera but it was on video,by mistake.Like it's sitting on top car stating I'm in charge,so the girl has a brolly in paper to now .And I used my new pink frilly one bought recently sun to hot,and keep Seagulls off went down park Unnerved me a bit,paper states protecting young,but no babies on ground both times. julie x
