A pearl of irregular shade
At the heart of grief
There’s a thief
Who stole your breath – away
And yet
To commiserate, to celebrate
Fragments of forgetting
And forever home
What’s missing bittersweet
An antechamber of pain
I cannot hold you again
Yet.

There are so many ideas in
There are so many ideas in this.
I'd not thought before how commiserate is like co miss ing
and a pearl forming around the grit of loss - we return to earth
and the anti chamber an empty room built of pain.
And the end line is full of hope makes "yet" into a huge, bright word like a sun on the horizon.
Also I like how the lines are sort of like dominoes so the first line works with the second on their own, and the second with the third, my understanding changing a bit as I read down.
I really like the build up to yet
the whole is sharp and beautiful

The first line is beautiful and unique, it makes me think of the waxing and waning of grief over time and the idea of a little lustrous pearl so small and perfect.

Tears are a good cleansing, celtic. I always feel better. For the moment anyway. But, boy, do I enjoy those moments.
