queen of the may

white dress and wed

honeymoon bled

a word of advice

you’ll find a history

of people of infamy

when they say ay

you say nah

You’re getting hee-haw

or people may

take a liberty

and you’ll find

you’re in a bind

what you first thought

will not be worth a dot

a lovely apartment

a lonely apartment

look the same

viewed through time’s frame

crush the lie

ask yourself why

the twists of truth

you cannae see

distorted by memory

what it does reveal

the birth of surprise

a fool with no disguise

your identity is

what you want it to be
