Around a sun, far larger than our own, obits a planet called Toolia, far larger than our own. Populated by a species, far larger than our own, called the Toolians.
Toolia was in fact their second planet. They had left the original Toolia fifty million years earlier when they had realized their sun was in the process of dying. And they had found a new world in a close by galaxy.
So the Toolians are a very old Civilisation... with a very advanced technology, far more advanced than our own. They had explored many galaxies with a ferocious curiousness, making many scientific observations, and gathering information, and discovering other civilisations, and where possible – depending on how advanced a new found civilisation was also making contact.
They had visited Earth several times, the first time during its Jurassic Period, about 201 million years ago when dinosaurs had ruled the world, but on later visits they had chosen not to make contact with the present Humans.
During that first visit, they had returned with many specimens for study. One such specimen was a dinosaur egg. That egg had been preserved invery large Toolian refrigerators for those long years.
But one day, one of the assistants of the very famous Toolian scientist, whose name was Professor Zok, had stupidly left the very large refrigerator door open. And because Toolia is a extremely hot planet, the egg had hatched, and there now was a small cute baby dinosaur.
Now Professor Zok, took responsibility for the creature, becoming the parent of this tiny dinosaur, and named him Ator.
Toolians are a very large humanoid species far larger than Earthlings, and new born dinosaurs are very small, so Ator seemed very tiny to the Toolians. And because Ator came from Earth, and mini means small on Earth, every one called him Miniator.
As Miniator was growing up Professor Zok became more and more worried that Miniator might get stood on by all the giant Toolians running around with their great floppy feet, who often didn't even see him...
So the Professor built Miniator a computer suit with a Jet-backpack so he could fly. And over the years Professor Zok continuously updated his suit so it could do many other things, too… It had built into it: a video camera, a projector, a telephone, a music player, and a colour maker, which he could shoot out a rainbow and give everything bright beautiful colours.
He also added a technical device called Larynx, that all Toolians had had for thousands of years. Which had been revolutionary in their development... By fitting some electrons in Miniator's brain that could transmit and receive thought patterns to and from this device in his suit, and which was converted to speech, it allowed him to understand and to talk, although with a computer voice. But like other Toolians he was now able to tell when people were or not telling the truth, as the thought patterns would be different to what
they were saying.
So now he could fly and look everyone in the face and talk. Everyone soon got to know 'Miniator The Flying Dinosaur From Earth', He was so interesting for the Toolians that he suddenly became a star! People watched him on Toolian TV. The Toolian children loved him. He would show them films he had made, and his colour maker could give grey days rainbows! which always made the children very happy.
Professor Zok told Miniator how his egg had come from Earth, and Miniator was sad to hear that all the dinosaurs had disappeared from Earth millions of years ago, and that he was the last of them.
Miniator when he was growing up thought a lot about Earth, it was his true home. And one day he asked Professor Zok if he would build him a little spaceship so he could at some time visit the people who now lived on Earth, he hoped he could, show them that there was still at least one dinosaur. The Professor told Miniator that he should wait a few more years, before he took to adventuring off the planet.
So for the next ten years Miniator concentrated on travelling and learning about Toolia, sometimes with Professor Zok, and sometimes he would fly alone with his jet-pack. Toolia is such a beautiful planet, but very different to Earth. On the surface it was very dry, with alot of desert, but just under the surface in gigantic caverns there were seas and lakes. And in many places, where the surface was weak the water had broken through the surface and shot up great water spouts high into the air. And it was around these areas that many lakes had formed, and many forests and grasslands grew there.
So there were underground cities and surface cities. The underground cities had wide tunnels which all the flying crafts could enter. All the cities were very modern compared to Earth. The open cities had high towers and landing platforms for the many flying machines, and for the coming and going of spaceships from many different planets.
Toolia being one of the most advanced civilisations in the known universe was the centre of a great Intergalactic Federation.
But Miniator always thought about Earth. He would spend hours just dreaming about his return. Professor Zok had shown him so many pictures of Earth, and answered as many questions as he could.
During this time Miniator had become even more popular with Toolians, and was often on TV, where many people would ask him about Earth... He had become an Earth expert. Professor Zok was very proud of him.

This is an interesting
This is an interesting variant on the aliens visiting Earth scenarios. I feel there could well be a continuation of this story. I enjoyed this.
