Custer's Last Stand

Obsessed with the wild west, a fan of John Wayne
He won the lottery & bought a beautiful domain
He booked a world cruise, before he left he resolved
To commission two murals for the dining room walls.

The first a depiction of General Custer's last stand
Custer's last thought was his other demand
When he returned from his luxurious galleon
Custer in his glory beside his white stallion.

The reins in his teeth, his pistol in one hand
A sabre in the other this looked very grand
Completely surrounded by the entire Sioux nation.
Fabulous he said, without any hesitation

Now can you please show me Custer's last thought.
If it's not to my liking I'll get very distraught
The artist unveiled an almost empty blank wall,
He said I don't get this, it makes no sense at all

A school of fish sporting Halos down at one side
Fornicating Sioux braves along for the ride
The artist explained the simple logic he used
He had visualised walking in Custer's shoes.

I reckon his last thought would have definitely been.
