We ALL turn away ..

'Stand still, shut yer mouth', l heard the mother say.
She was one of those sulking females who lived with anger every day.
Then the poor little kid felt a slap across his baby-fluff head.
And ranting continues into the night, before being thrown in his bed.

Why doesn't anyone intervene at all.
When we here that kind of language
and why is the child not cared for.
I sit by, myself, and should try to help him out.
But one freezing glance from 'Mummy' makes me recoil into myself.

It happens on a busy bus, or in the main street.
Because of other issues, she takes it out on him, so sweet.
No wonder little people grow up, spitting on their peers,
Because or perhaps it's the treatment they're given, in their younger years ..
