I must learn to read things properly.  I read the flash fiction comp as 50 words so here is my 50-word offering.

A Disturbing Sleep!

Laura opened her eyes and stretched contentedly,

‘Richard, those anti-depressants make me sleep really well. Better if I hadn’t had that horrible dream again though.’

When there was no answer she turned to face her husband. There was a 15- inch blade embedded in his chest.

Hello Insert,

Thank you for the read and the cement.  I mean comment.   It is amazing how few words are needed to get the bare bones of a story. Unfortunately, I have a problem with brevity because I always seem to take the view why use one word when ten will do.  Thank you anyway.  Those last three words or rather last two words would probably have been sufficient but all the extra words would have felt left out and that wouldl be just too cruel.  Now you can see  I'm using all these extra words as an act of kindness.
