SLEEPINESS.

It's funny how our eyes are almond shape but we don't see things in that shape, when I look to the edges of my eyes it doesn't end, I just strain to see further, the shape of my eye giving me the illusion I can see as far as I can stretch.
The shape becomes a bit clearer as my eyes become heavy. They are tired now, each blink willing me to close them allowing me to switch off to never never land. It's funny though that the picture shrinks but the colours don't change: The glare of the orange light bouncing off the curve of my wine glass and the red of the wine still vibrant and endearing. One last sip and bam, no colours, or are there.
Eyes closed and mind wandering, its moments before I'm asleep for the night, but when I look at the back of my eye lids, its not black, unless I close then really tight, but its more crimson, maybe a blend between light, skin and crimson.
I can see so much through these eyes, but I'm yet to witness the moment my vision fades and I fall asleep. I've never noticed the blend of colours on the back of my eye lids become nothing. I'm going to try harder next time, I think it will be magical.
