Guard me / Keep Me
In the Shelter / Of your wings
In the essence / Of your being
In the cipher / Of your eye

Turn my / Pages
Don’t stop ‘til / You have read
There must be / Common sense
I have seen / Innocence

Deny my / Solitude
Its data / Proof to you
I have earned / Everything
That you bring / Everything

Judge my / Thoughts now
Compel me / To desist
If there’s anything / I’ll look
If I am flawed / I’ll redesign

Allow me / To rejoice
If you have seen / That we might fit
And relished / What we might bring
Or brought out / What our souls might sing

And breathe in / Breathe out
With me / As Me
And I / Will breathe
With you / As you

For in time / We’ll find
We’ll learn / We’ll know
But who / Will guide
Our course / Our flow?

Don’t be / Scared now
It’s not far / I’ll wait
For I / have felt
I have seen / Innocence

Leave me / Boldly
So I cannot / Shed a tear
Cannot stutter / In my fear
For you have wrought / Blessings
