Elysium Fields

Lost in eyes that won’t see me
Trapped in a love that won’t stop
Two separate tales in one fable,
Residing lines in one plot:
For you are the moons light,glowing in;
Razor thin and then vanishing.
And we speak past charming sentiment
So I’ll look for the spark in your eyes
That strips you down to the soul
The flame to remove the disguise
And you shine, shine, shine,
Crystal clear, then disappear.
So I feel like a bard in the eve-light
Beneath the bright distant stars
Breathing in acid euphoria
Just me, my thoughts and guitar
--- Your breath is fairy dust:
Flowing sheets and then obsolete;
As spectacular and superfluous
As the cooling planes of the Elysium fields
For you are the moons light,glowing in;
Razor thin and then vanishing.
And you shine, shine, shine,
Crystal clear, and disappear.
So I am lost in your story
An extra line in your plot
Of weaving sentient passions
And beaming lights,
That neither start nor stop
