Silent night

Rows of stars bud and blossom
Like mystical iridescent flowers
On heaven’s guilded rooftop
Before shooting like rockets
Into the timeless night
And bursting simultaneously
Like silent ambrosial fireworks .
Ascending gracefully
A dazzling silver waterfall
Cascades across earth.
As the sun sleeps blissfully
Her shimmering golden face
And fiery red hair
Are fanned by the cool breeze
With soothing blue eyes.
From her ethereal chimney pot
The dreamy moon floats
Like an arc of saffron smoke
Across the charcoal sky.
Sherbet pink roses
Entwining the pearly gates
Are seranaded by sweet lullabies
As a choir of syrupy voiced cherubs
Welcome weary travellers home.
Meanwhile sleeping babies
Are suffused with hope and love
Carried on the fragrant wings
Of tiny dreamy butterflies.
Hush. Nothing stirs.
