Strange Days

When Jim is given away free
in a Sunday broadsheet;
when the home of the free
can nationalise a
bank and the blessed free
market is no longer
wholly holy for free-
masonic cabals that
listen irony free
to their soundtrack of youth
- when even love was free.
This is the end, my friend,
strange days! Be doubt free;
sing 'When The Music's Over'
