The Rose Garden

Eve wasted her eyes upon His beautiful rose garden,
God on the throne; Could he sense I was forsaken?
They feasted upon his honey-bread, and were drunk,
With my concubine tears, the pain was bled dry from me,
What fueled their yearning of unquenchable knowing?
The Gate was fastened shut; from there I was cast away,
If there were a place of truth, once, it had been mine eternal,
My jewels were hidden behind the rising vines of ivy;
Yet during the fall; Saturnalia descended unto me.
Great Sun relent to this sweet compromise; bravery's feat,
As lunar-light reflected across our Earth's lost history,
I wished I could somehow break this holy bread and curse,
I hope when dead toward Summer-land I'm sent
Then someday God, Beast, and Man will join in peace.
