Raise The Red Flag Faded

And the faded flag is raised,
Redness rides the golden trees.
Heavy is the mountain, bearing
Warriors of speed.
Thundering the hooves down the mountain's crooked way,
Beneath a mellow sky we behold this joyous day.
But the maiden who has waited for so long beside the stream,
The bride whose groom was stolen by the madness of a dream,
Hatred in the eyes of a king who came to rule,
Hatred in his people how a man can be so cruel.
And she knows her heart is broken,
There the light begins to fade.
As she falls upon the earth
Feels her body be unmade.
We cannot continue in this way.
But the heart is always aching,
Darkness having lead astray;
Waters churning round untill
The predator is prey.
So shining star up in the sky,
With your beauty conquer I,
And with my heart I beg of thee
Watch down over till I die.
