And welcome back the next enthralling episode
of&;#8230;&;#8230;&;#8230;.. Voyage of Guido!!!!
The balloon wafted along on the morning air and Guido stretched in the
basket, in doing so, he knocked Andreas and Andreas woke up too.
"Yarrr" yawned Andreas "where are we?"
"We are over the Tinpoo Mush."
"The what?"
The Tinpoo Mush, it's a mountain range, it surrounds the temple." Said
Guido reading from a map.
"Then that must be the Temple." Shouted Andreas with excitement and
pointing at a huge white domed building.
"Yup, that must be it."
"We better start thinking of how we get this balloon to land, shall I
pull this?" Asked Guido.
"Go on then, try it." Replied Andreas
Guido pulled the rope that led up to the balloon and after a bit of
tugging, it fell in a coil in the basket, for a moment nothing
happened. Then a sound like a pent up parp started to blow, the stale
smelling air blew with increasing velocity over the two little critters
and they hung on to each other as the balloon lurched and dropped, they
were descending fast. Andreas realised that they were dropping to fast
and wrestled free of the hairy guinea pigs' grip. He grabbed the rope
and climbed up a side lashing to the opening where all the hot air was
coming from., with a great deal of effort he worked the rope around and
tied it off, but the balloon continued to fall.
"We must throw things over board." Shouted Andreas to Guido. Guido
looked around, "Can the grand piano go?" He asked. "Yes, we will just
have to make do with the comb and tracing paper."
Guido picked up the piano and tossed it over the side, the balloon
slowed it's descent. "Shall I throw over the dining table?"
"Get rid of it quickly." Shouted Andreas, watching the ground
approaching fast. Over it went and that seemed to make the difference,
the balloon descended more gently and the last couple of hundred feet
they were able to guide the balloon into a small hemp field.
The two fell out of the balloon and looked around, "this is great"
announced Guido, "far out!" replied Andreas.
