The day the X box 360 died

The news hit like a tsunami tide
Leaving me feeling raw and empty inside
I just remember thinking ‘why?’ while Andy rocked and cried
The day our x box 360 died.
It was a good old friend upon which we relied
that would regularly save us from having to go outside
till our skin grew pale and our pupils were wide
but alas, no more! Our xbox 360 has died.
No more Pro Evo matches will he provide
No more first person shooters offering realistic genocide
Or guitar hero late at night when boozed and bleary eyed
As our sweet innocent X box 360 has died
When Dave returned from his mates funeral I took him to one side
Commented on how his mourning and ours did coincide
He did not seem to see the funny side
Or grasp how serious it actually was that the 360 had died
And my comparison continued to cause a divide
For I sat wailing as we watched repeats of Brookside
From Dave’s glares I knew physical pain was implied
Something that would never happened had the 360 not died
But then those in grief can be a bit ‘Jekyll and Hyde’
And I’m sure that Dave’s loss is almost as bonafide
So I forgive your rashness Dave and lets mourn side by side
Because my poor x box 360… and some mate of yours… has died
