Five women sat gathered round the fire
The clear light of evening flooded the room
Winter was upon them but excitement flowed
Eve was joining them tonight for the first time
Agatha smiles at Eve and says;
"We each bring a new poem and
We read them out, would you like to start Eve".
"I would be glad too" said Eve, my poem is called;
"My Observation of Winter"
Today I am walking into the heart of a wood
It's so quiet and tranquil
Still as a millpond quiet as the dawn
A bare embroidery of snow filled trees
In my hair the suns sheen dancing like shadows
Nothing is stirring I can hear my treads voice
Winters snow garnishes everything it covers
The warmth of the winters chill will then give way
The sun's ray of spring gently casts its glow
Then seeds that have lain dormant for so long
Will burst into life as a new dawn begins

This is such a beautiful poem Edward. It's stirred my imagination. Very inspiring.
There's nothing more tranquil than a walk in a wood or forest at all seasons.
