You were so tiny -
Laying there,
Tiny feet, curled fists
Wispy hair.
My heart inflated,
And overwhelmed me,
Always to my heart,
You've held the key.
To you the world
Was fresh and new,
But to me,
My world was you.
When you were there,
In my arms,
My everything in a moment,
Safe from harm.
Beauty seemed a
Mediocre word,
For my creation,
Who was yet unheard.
All of this in
A second, love,
Surely you must have
Been sent from above?
I don't have a baby but I just read this really powerful book (Boys don't cry by Malorie Blackman) and it inspired me.
