Sanity

I can remember,
Seeing a vivid blue,
Deeper than the ocean,
And for a moment,
I almost lost myself.
It was darker -
Than I ever could have imagined,
But also lighter in a way.
A spectrum of colours,
Danced before my eyes,
An almost opaque emerald,
It nearly sparkled,
Like little stars -
Winking at me,
Glimmering,
In the imaginary sunlight.
The colours often flowed together,
Purple, green and red,
Creating a rainbow
I prayed at the end
To find a pot of gold
But of course,
I found no such thing.
A collection of unusual things,
Scattered together as one,
It may be described as strange,
But why would that be -
Anything other than normal,
In the place,
I call my subconcious.
Maybe it's insanity,
Or a possible bout of sain,
Who is to judge,
Of these lesser things,
Who know nothing
Of pure oblivion.
Can I escape?
I really don't know what this is about!
