The Victorian Lady.

According to legend some people say,
A lost lady walks here from day to day,
Her sad face looks longingly at mine,
I know she wishes she could go back in time.

Shes finely dressed with an umberella,
Her pale hands are clasped tightly together,
Her blue hat is small but her hair is long,
Beneath her dress her legs are white and strong.

I believe her name is Victoria,
And her face is stunningly glorious,
Her sad face looks longingly at mine,
I know she wishes she could go back in time.

Hi Emma well done only 13 great some of your work is marvellous for your age. I!ve read The Victorian Lady brill! I am an oldie, but reminds me of - the lovely Victorian styles, and have a parasol to, our daughter bought me. One or too dolls from the market with parasols and hats cheap, and small picture. The line in the last verse great, and how you put it all to-gether. Do read some mine and comments please. Excellent work. I wonder if you've tried writing free verse (non rhyming). This poem would lend itself well to that - although I enjoyed it very much as it is. sarah x
