Days

These days you give me
A sown heart on robin's breast
Weaving song through blinking light
Bridging a crevasse while I lie still
Dear sun, the clock face, winching, winding
Up onto fluffed pillow horizon
Me stirring from a moonbeam daze
Scarred, guilty as charged
Yesterday you returned
Left fingerprints for me to find
Your forgiving breath, a mist forming
On window panes, spelling my name
Tomorrow I will be waiting, sleepless
Joining dots between your stars
Hunting like a hungry hound
To seize this very day.
