The Angel in the Window

One upon a time a chocolate angel was invited to live with a bakery owner and his family. The angel had been in the bakery window for as long as anyone could remember. So, feeling sorry for the angel, the baker decided to bring her home and make her part of the family

That's when the trouble started, and history was made.

One Sunday morning, the very large Hossenphepher family, on their way to the lake for an invigorating gorge fest, decided to stop by the bakery to purchase the sweet and delicate angel.

"Mmmm!" they all thought.

Noticing that the angel was missing from the bakery window, they descended upon the baker's home and demanded to know the whereabouts of the sweet and tasty angel.

Upon hearing this, the angel became agitated and spoke harshly to the Hossenphephers.

"I'm happy here in my new home!" she said. "Try eating some carrots, you cows!"

Whereupon, the Hossenphepher's dog, Fritz, took a swipe at the angel's head, knocking it clear across the kitchen, and into a vat of home made peanut butter.

Mr. Reese, the baker, had a brilliant idea that would soon make him very wealthy.

The Hossenphephers never did eat any carrots. They bought, instead, some of Mr. Reese's new peanut butter confection and grew even larger.
