Eyes closed, lying on the carpet
Bathed in yellow and unaware,
Unaware that I'm watching and waiting for a shiver
the precise moment when eyelashes flicker,
Eyeballs roll imprinting the delicate film of skin,
Away from dreams, opening
Quick!
Eyes closed, still lying on the carpet
Always have been,
You'll never know that I spent
Two? Three, maybe four hours
Watching your face.
The sunrise blossoms and you are set alight, red and gold
Pink flowers bloom on the window ledge and
I can play this game all night,
Because now you're watching me,
I can feel it.
With my eyes closed and heart beating
I let the morning play on,
And you'll never know my secret.
