Charity

Charity was cheap
As you can plainly see
That's why her Mum and Dad
Christened her Charity.

She'd buy a foreign T.V
That's plug didn't fit the socket
Any thing that would not
Burn a hole inside her pocket.

One day whilst out shopping
A plan ran through her head
"Rather than pay. Would it be bad,
If I just took these instead?"

She checked the aisle
For a child, woman or man
Opened her bag
And shoved in a can.

As she passed the security alarm
It's bells made the shrillest sound
The Security Guards carried her off
Searched her, and the can was found.

Now poor Charity is serving five years
And is now sharing a cell with a girl called Sid
Only because poor Charity
Wanted to save a couple of quid!
