Meaningful

God does not need us
He is perfect...Tri-une
God...Father
God...Son
God...Spirit
Perfect communication
Perfect relationship
Perfect love

God...Creator of the universe
God...Creator of time
God...infinitely higher
Than the things He has made
God who says, if I were hungry
I would not ask you for food
Because everything is mine
God does not need us

I look up to God
God, I do not understand
If you do not need us
If you do not need me
Then why am I here...Why have
you made me...Why do I exist
What purpose is there in this life
What makes it meaningful

And God answered me
My child, I am your God
I do not change
I was, I am, I will be
I AM is my name
Not created...the uncaused cause
And I say to you
I declare you meaningful

Yes, you are meaningful to me
Meaningful enough
To celebrate when you come back to me
Meaningful enough
To rejoice and delight in you
To sing a victory song over you
Yes my child, so meaningful are you to me
That I came down to you and lived among you

I did not look up again
Being deeply humbled
I thought about his words
The perfect God, the uncaused cause
Creator of everything
Infinitely higher than anything
This God has declared
You are meaningful

My eyes fill with tears
As I raise my empty hands
And speak to my God

My life can have no higher meaning
