We dream of peace
Peace in the world
Peace in our lives
So we fight the guns
The canons and the bombs
Banning them...and all grows quiet
But still we fight our wars
With arrows, knives and swords

The dream goes on
We want peace to come
In the world, in our lives
So we ban the bows and arrows
Destroy the swords...the knives
The slashing ceases...the whiz of the arrow fades
But the war has not stopped
With thoughts and words we now kill

Still we are dreaming
Still there's no peace
No peace in our lives...our world
So we fight the thoughts
And we ban the words
The sound of silence...the only thing heard
But when we look into our hearts
The hate is thriving...still the war goes on

Somebody help, give us peace...help!
Give us a new heart...help!

And we see a child lying in a manger
A man peacefully walking the earth
Then hanging on a tree
