The way you feel

You felt so good, your arms around me. And now I know I have to go. I think you heard me, all those hours we spent talking. Did you hear me that I think you're amazing. I might have only said it with my eyes. Lovely hours I would repeat in a heartbeat, if I could choose not to end it here. I think you felt me reach out to touch. Did you feel me reach out to cradle your future and your past. I might have only done it in my heart. I know you hugged me back just now. Really hugged me back. I needed that to know that you felt that you meant something to me. I can say goodbye if I'm sure you felt it. I walk away, the imprint of your arms still encircling me.
