“Well I don’t mean to brag but I would say that is one of my best” said Antaeus as he threw a severed head which landed face down at the base of literally man made temple somewhere near the Libyan coast.
“I bet your old man would be proud” a highly sardonic acknowledgment said, staring at the thirty foot high pile of corpses.
“if I recall it was your idea for me to wipe out this village, I mean I don’t mind clubbing and tearing apart mortals it just seems pointless to let them go to waste” Antaeus tried to give his mother some reasoning to why he can mindlessly tear apart hundreds of men.
“Anyway when was the last time you spoke to my father Gaia?” Antaeus questioned his mother like a spoilt child
“let’s not get into this now we’ve got a lot to do young man and I’ve told you to call me mother, just remember where you would be without me” Gaia knew how much Antaeus relied on her and wasn’t worried about putting her child in its place.
“yes I know I would be in hades by now it’s not my fault I’m invulnerable around you for whatever reason, I’m a grown man that can’t stray too far away from his mother” as Antaeus said this his head lowered trying to hide his shame. Gaia relished this knowing she would have someone to keep her company till the world ends.
“Right then that’s that done shall we keep this plan moving forward?” Gaia said insisting Antaeus to join her.
Antaeus looked at his latest masterpiece thinking how much more of a challenge man was before technology made them weak. With this thought he turned to his mother shrugged his shoulders and made his way towards her.
“oh and as much it pains me to do this could you take down your shrine it can’t look like us, I’m sure your father appreciates it” Gaia said this sympathetically to keep her son happy for the time being while she had use of him.
Antaeus gave a slight smile and began to walk to the nearest treeline, reached into the thickest bush and pulled out a young girl. Not only had this mortal child have to witness her brothers, sisters, mother and father used for mortar, she was now in the hands of the sculpture that introduced her eyes to hades.
“Why have you done this? What did we do?” the young girl cried shaking with fear, tears streaming from her bloodshot eyes holding back the urge to vomit.
“Hush now sweet” As Antaeus pretended to console the child not to make her feel better he done this as not to disturb his concentration. He lifted the girl above his head extending his arm as an Olympian would hold a javelin, took two giant paces and launched the girl with all his strength. In a stream of tears and terror the spear shaped child spiralled towards his creation. The spear
connected its target breaking the head of the spear then causing the girl and what was left of the villagers to cover the compounds and huts of the nearby landscape.
“my word that was one Zeus would be impressed with now come on we need to get to Gaza and try to find Hephaestus” with that said Gaia and Antaeus made their way over bones, mangled flesh and possibly the small girls mandible on route north.
