Let Me Walk On Solid Ground

If I ask will you hear me?
If I plead will you turn away?
If I beg will you forsake me?
To be who I am and not understand it is maddening.
My pursuits have been irrelevant to this point.
I yearn to learn more but i am unwilling.
Can you grant me peace in an unfilled heart?
Can you exercise patience to an anxious soul?
I do no more but no less that is my comfort.
I howl to the moon and beat my chest in the daylight
Yet I know nothing more.
Slothful desires that impregnate me with confusion,
Exile me to condemnation of myself.
If I ask will you hear me?
If I plead will you turn away?
If I beg will you forsake me?
The question goes unanswered.
Can I deny myself and all that comes with it?
Show me and let me walk on solid ground again.
