Alzheimer Poem

A loss of thought in a moment of time, memories scarred and held in an inaccessible place which at one time was so clear. Forgive my tears of loss or my anger at words i cannot say, I am held captive in my nonsensical world of who i am.
Loved ones come and go in my ever fading mind, yes my son or daughter I see you now,, I smile for a while, alas darkness and confusion calls revealing a stranger in my home. If i could find the words and know the person to whom i speak I would utter these words, I have and always willl love you and i hope you love me too.

Very sad
Very sad and how true. An excellent poem it is very sensitive. Never take things for granted.

I agree with Tom. Did you
I agree with Tom. Did you mean for it to be formatted as prose though?
