It’s a shit-stained, twenty-four hour imbroglio

Place your hand on your heart, bend at the knee
God is the Devil we always wanted him to be
March to the front - just don’t pick me

A world without feature, a world without grace
Where Pilgrims of Hope drift from place to place
Kiss goodbye your sweetheart, wipe your tear-stained face

You have summed up the new world very well, sadly! It certainly isn't the new world most of us want. Hopefully it may prove to be a temporary blip, but I don't suppose it will be. A great poem! You summarise the sadness of it very accurately!
